MOVING BARENTS 2020: OUT OF URGENCY
a research archive for an international dance project responding to climate change and the crisis state of the world
This Blog is maintained by the artists and steering group for the Moving Barents 2020 project: Out of Urgency
It provides an archive of the research events and creative process throughout the project.
The project is part of a 3-year program set up by Dansinitiativet to support independent dance artists in the Northern region of Sweden to collaborate, interact, work and take part in projects with dancers from Northern Finland, Norway and Russia.
The main activity throughout 2020 is to produce 4 short dance works that will be simultaneously performed in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia throughout November. The pieces will be connected using video streaming technology and will form a full-length performance, with the artists collaborating in realtime across the Barents region.
